Adult Learn to Play 16+ years

 Tuesdays 7:45-8:45 (Indoor Court) 

$140 – 8 lessons  (maximum 8 participants)

This is a an introductory class for adults who are new to tennis or have little experience. The participants will learn basic shots including forehand, backhand and serve. You will learn to rally and learn the rules and scoring of the game.

Adult Intermediate 16+ years

Wednesdays 7:45-8:45 (Indoor Court) 

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class is for adults who have previously taken the Adult Learn to Play class and/or have some experience with playing tennis.  Participants will work on improving their shots and serves as well as learn new techniques to improve their tennis game. 

Learn to Play 6-8 years

Tuesdays 4:15-5:15 (Indoor Court) 

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class introduces the foundational skills of tennis with an oversized low-compression ball on a smaller court.  The focus will be on basic movement, tracking and racquet skills in a high-energy, fun setting.

Intermediate 6-8 years

Wednesdays 4:15-5:15 (Indoor Court) 

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class is for players who have previously taken the Learn to Play class and/or have some experience with tennis.  Participants will focus on improving shots and introductory match play.  It will be a fun, skill building class.

Learn to Play 9-12 years

Tuesdays 5:15-6:15  (Indoor Court)

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class introduces the foundational skills of tennis with an oversized low-compression ball on a smaller court. Participants will learn proper technique for basic shots along with activities that build tennis specific coordination in a high-energy, fun setting.

Intermediate 9-12 years

Wednesdays 5:15-6:15  (Indoor Court)

$140 – 6 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class is for youth  who have previously taken the Learn to Play class  and/or have some experience with playing the game.  Participants will focus on improving shots and introductory match play.  It will be a fun, skill building class designed to foster a love for tennis.

Learn to Play 13-16 years

Tuesdays 6:45-7:45  (Indoor Court)

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class introduces the foundational skills of tennis with an oversized low-compression ball on a smaller court.  Participants learn proper technique for basic shots along with activities that build tennis specific coordination in a high-energy, fun setting. 

Intermediate 13-16 years

Wednesdays 6:45-7:45 (Indoor Court)

$140 – 8 lessons (maximum 8 participants)

This class is designed for teens who have experience playing and are looking to take their play to the next level.  The class will feature advance skill building such as advanced serves, ball spins, drop shot and team play

Private Lessons

The Moose Jaw tennis club has 2 qualified instructors who teach private lessons.

Joan Buckmaster

Joan is a retired teacher and certified Saskatchewan tennis instructor.  She has a passion for both tennis and curling.  Joan took her first instructor’s course when her six year old grandson become interested in tennis. She has been instructing and playing tennis ever since.  Joan has coached the Saskatchewan tennis team at the Summer Games for several years.  One of her former students even led her Michigan college team to a conference victory!

Mo Ikramul

Mo is a tennis coach who comes to us from Regina.  He has been playing tennis for over 20 years.  Mo has his Tennis Canada certification and has three years of coaching experience. In 2024, he helped coach our Summer Games team from which they brought home medals in 3 events! Mo will be teaching our Group Lesson sessions this spring.  In addition to tennis, Mo enjoys playing ping pong, badminton, soccer, cricket, basketball and volley ball.

We are happy to welcome Mo to our coaching staff.

Member Outdoor Leagues

Leagues start the first week of May (weather permitting) and run all summer!

Women's Doubles

Tuesdays 6:30-8:30

This is a fun ladies night out!  All skill levels welcome as well as Junior players.

Men's Doubles/Singles

Mondays 6:30-8:30pm

Join the men for singles or doubles play depending on numbers. All skill levels welcome as well as Junior players. Partners to be decided when you show up.

Round Robin

This weekday morning social league runs Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 10:00-11:30 from May-Oct. Join us for some casual fun play. All members welcome!

(This is a great league to join if you are a new member looking to meet other players.) 

Drop-In Ladder League

Wednesday 6:30-8:30

Juniors and Adults welcome. Recommended skill level of 3.0 and up. Come on out and try to climb the Ladder!

Youth Drop-In League

This league is for youth ages 12-17.

It is open to members and non members .  There will be a $5 fee for non members which can be paid when arriving at the courts.  It is recommended that you are able to serve and return and be familiar with scoring. Balls and racquets supplied and clean shoes a must.
